One of the first artistic pursuits that I did when I was just out of college was to make quilts. Although I initially started with traditional designs that had been around for generations, I eventually got into working with abstract original designs.

Sunflowers are one of the happiest flowers that I know. I truly enjoyed working on these drawings in the dead of winter when the sun is low and there is nothing green and blooming around. It's a little bit of gardening and sunshine during the coldest months.
